In my practice as a registered psychologist, I provide counselling to individuals, parents, couples and families seeking assistance in resolving a variety of challenges which can include:
• anxiety and depression related to trauma;
• workplace difficulties;
• family and parent- child issues;
• separation and divorce; and
• life transitions.
Some people seek counselling to explore issues that can be readily identified and addressed through brief therapy, while others require a more long-term approach. Through a collaborative approach, the amount of time spent in counselling, the type of counselling provided, and the number of sessions attended is determined and based on the goals of each client. I particularly enjoy providing separation counselling to parents in the initial stages of separation or who are considering separation but want to do so in the best way possible for their children.
